Workplace Interpersonal Conflict courses – It is not uncommon for employees and managers to be faced with interpersonal disputes.

Interpersonal disputes can manifest as

  • Argumentative employees
  • Interpersonal conflicts
  • ‘He said, she said’ style bullying complaints where it is apparent that there are no witnesses or corroborating evidence making a finding difficult
  • Complaints about work practices or processes
  • Lower end of the scale or minor disputes. (From experience many disputes start off as minor and escalate when nothing is done to resolve the problems)

Unfortunately in the workplace not everyone gets along.

Understanding Workplace Interpersonal Conflict

A course for employees of all levels designed to deliver pathways to optimal workplace communications and relationships. This courses teaches participants how to develop and maintain harmonious working relationship based on mutual respect.

A two hour course depending on the level of interaction and questions, covering:

  • What is Workplace Interpersonal Conflict & How does it occur?
  • What is the workplace in 2023?
  • What is workplace bullying, harassment & discrimination in the workplace?
  • How is interpersonal conflict different to bullying, harassment & discrimination?
  • Respect and respectful behaviours
  • What would/should/could you do
  • Resolving workplace interpersonal conflict (as a participant in the conflict)
  • Resolving workplace interpersonal conflict (as a manager or supervisor)

Costing

For organisations or businesses who wish to have internal courses for their employees we have a flat rate with no limit on participants. This is recommended if you have more than 3 attendees.

The organisation flat rate for this course  is $1,500 per session plus GST with unlimited attendees. It can be provided in person or via via Zoom or Teams. This cost is for Sydney based courses.

Understanding Workplace Interpersonal Conflict Advanced – For Managers

A course for managers and supervisors. This courses teaches participants how to deal with  interpersonal conflict between employees and maintain harmonious working relationship based on mutual respect and shows managers how avoid interpersonal conflict with employees and avoid complaint of bullying when managing staff and conducting performance management programs and reviews.

A half day course (3.5 – 4 hours), contents as above plus

  • Reasonable management Action
  • Performance Management to avoid complaints.

Interpersonal Conflict Resolution can also be used in post investigation situations where is a disciplinary outcome is not recommend and there is a need for relationship re-building.

Ultimately, it may fall to the manager to bring people together and to create harmonious working relationships within teams and departments and in these cases it is important to have a dispute resolution process and strategies in place.

The advanced level course for managers has been designed to help you resolve disputes at a local level before that get out of control.

Please note this is NOT a mediation training course.  This dispute resolution intervention  process taught in this course is more of a negotiation where the manager/facilitator works as the negotiator between the parties to come to a mutually acceptable resolution.  The goal is Win/Win – Work towards drafting an agreement between the parties that outlines how their working relationship will function in the future and the best outcome for everyone.
